Puddlekin Terms of Use
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-03
These terms are between you and Torstein Skulbru, Norway (sole proprietor) (“we”). They cover the Puddlekin app and Puddlekin Premium. They add to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple EULA), which also applies to your use of the app.
1. Who can use Puddlekin
You must be an adult in your country and at least 16. Puddlekin is for people caring for a baby. It is not directed at children.
2. Records care, not medical advice
Puddlekin records care. It makes no predictions and gives no medical advice. Always ask a doctor or nurse about your baby’s health. If you think there is an emergency, call your local emergency number.
What the app shows is what you and your family logged. Missing entries are just not logged.
3. Free use
Logging, multiple babies, full history, daily totals, editing and CSV export are free and work without an account on your iPhone.
4. Puddlekin Premium and billing
- Premium adds shared care, cloud restore, handover and trends.
- Price in the US: $9.99 per month or $3.99 per week. Prices vary by country. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Where you live, you keep your statutory consumer rights.
- Restore Purchases in the app brings Premium back on a new phone.
- One subscription covers the family owned by the purchaser. Invited members do not need their own.
5. When Premium ends
Your shared history stays readable and exportable for existing members. New shared entries, handover and trends need renewal. Your local data on your phone is not affected.
6. Shared care and your family
If you share a family, every approved member sees all babies and entries. The owner approves each member and can remove them. Removing someone stops their server access but cannot erase copies on a disconnected phone, screenshots or exports. Share only with people you trust.
7. Your content
What you log is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and show it to your family when you turn on shared care. You are responsible for your phone backups and for what you share.
8. Licence and ownership
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the Apple EULA. The app, its text, art and the duck characters belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer or resell them, except where the law allows.
9. Warranty and liability
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make about your baby’s care. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes the mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
10. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. We date and version each change and will tell you in the app about material changes. You can stop using Puddlekin at any time. We may stop offering the app with reasonable notice.
11. Governing law
Norwegian law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Norway, except that consumers may also use the courts of their home country.
12. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple EULA and may enforce it against you.
