Common questions
How do I invite someone? Shared care is part of Premium. As the owner, open the Family tab and tap Share with someone (first time) or Invite caregiver. The other person enters the code in Puddlekin on their iPhone (on the Welcome screen or in the Family tab: Join a family) and signs in with Apple. You see who is asking and for which role, and you approve every request. Nobody sees any baby data before you approve.
Why can’t my partner on Android join? Sharing works between iPhones for now. Android is not available yet.
How do I restore my purchase? On the new phone, go to Family, then Settings, and tap Restore purchases (also on the Premium screen). Use the same Apple ID.
How do I export my data? Family, then Settings, then Export entries as CSV. It includes all the records available on your phone.
How do I delete my data?
- On your phone: Family, then Settings, then Delete all data on this phone.
- Your account: Family, then Settings, then Delete account. Entries you logged for the family stay, labelled “Former caregiver”.
- The whole family: the owner uses Delete family in Settings. All members lose access.
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that in Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
What happens when Premium ends? Shared history stays readable and exportable. New shared entries, handover and trends need renewal. Everything on your phone keeps working.
Do timers keep running if I close the app? Yes. A timer remembers when it started, so the elapsed time is right whenever you open the app again.
Is Puddlekin medical advice? No. It records care and makes no predictions. Ask a doctor or nurse about your baby’s health.
